I create incredible magic, enchanting tales and fun times. My magic shows are about more than just keeping guests entertained. With my help, planning your party or event can be a little easier! I'll work with you to host a live magic show that your guests will look back on with happy memories for the rest of their lives. The entertainment is suitable for everyone to enjoy.
Do you need any equipment or helpers for the event?
Andar the Sorcerer is a trained performer who will bring and install all the magic props and equipment as well as the music equipment required for all the activities before your party starts and put it away after the party is over. Set up normally takes about 30-45 minutes, and take down is about 30 minutes. This service is included in your total package cost.

Andar has extension cords, but will need access to a power outlet for the mic and music amplifier.

Andar requests a client assist Andar at his vehicle by having someone carry in and carry out the magic show equipment items.

Andar will need access to a tap water faucet with a drain, and also need access to a restroom.

If you want a children's magic show, please provide at least 2 adults to stay with the magic show audience during the performance as child care providers, to supervise the children's behavior.
How long in advance do we have to book?
The safest way to plan for a party, or event is to give Andar 1-2 months notice in advance, if possible. That gives Andar the ability to guarantee you a time slot you are looking for. If your event is happening sooner, please give at least one week advance notice. Calling to book a couple of days before the event might be hard for Andar to prepare all of his magic in time and to be available at the time you're looking for.
How much room do you need for your shows?
That really depends on the number a guests you’re expecting and the size of the venue. Andar needs a minimum performing space of 8 feet square for moving around indoors, or outside. In a home, a normal sized living room will be enough for fewer than twenty guests. If you’re expecting over twenty people, you can consider using a backyard, or patio. If the weather is rainy, then a spacious garage is another good option.
Andar has performed in rec rooms, restaurants, parks, picnic areas, churches, hotels, gymnasiums, ballrooms, nightclubs, amphitheaters, auditoriums and conference halls.
Do you offer any discounts or promotions?
Yes. Andar offers a 20% off discount for military veterans, active military and seniors over 65. This applies only to the client (not a client's relatives or friends) verified by showing an appropriate ID.
Inquire about if there are other coupons available (seasonal).
Is there a deposit required to reserve and book a show?
Yes, Andar receives from an event planner and/or client a NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit payment of 50% upon being hired to reserve any entertainer services. Andar also later receives a Balance payment of the remaining 50% upon completion of his performance.
Non-refundable deposits are an industry standard.
He accepts all major credit cards, check, money order, and some money transfer apps. If you choose to pay by check, money order, or cashiers check you will be asked to mail in the FULL amount due at least two weeks before your event date so that he has ample time to process your check.
The amount required (percentage) for the reservation deposit is subject to change at any time without notice.
Do you do Birthdays at a Park?
Andar has performed at park parties many times. He requests that you to tell him what area/corner of the park you will be using and if you could please plan your party close to the parking area, so that it is easier for him to carry and setup equipment for the show. He usually makes several trips back and forth from his vehicle.

Please choose a performance area where Andar can set up his tables on concrete, asphalt, or wood. If grass is all that is available, it must be dry grass. Please do not ask him to set up in a wet, muddy, or thorny area.
If you have chosen a park that does not have a power outlet, let him know as soon as possible. Lack of power for his microphone and amplifier could mean your guests cannot hear him talk! He can only project his natural voice outdoors for small groups of 20 or less.

Andar the Sorcerer wants to do everything he can to make your party or event nothing less than perfect! He is a professional performer, well trained to cater to both large and small audiences. He has the expertise to make it easier and entertaining for everyone involved.
Andar the Sorcerer had performed for ALL ages, from infants and toddlers, children, teenagers, adults, through retirees and centenarian seniors. Please let Andar know the ages of the people who will be in attendance, so that he can plan the age-appropriate magic tricks, props, and illusions for the party or event.
Terms and Conditions
Other Entertainment and Distractions
The client agrees to inform Andar the Sorcerer of any other party entertainment, or of the presence of a bounce house, slide, pool, live band, or recreational equipment that may be at the event.
Although these can be an added attraction to one’s event, bounce houses and other recreational equipment can be a major distraction for both the magician and the audience. The client agrees that if a bounce house or other play equipment is too loud or distracting, it may need to be off-limits to children during the magic show.
Childrens Behavior
Andar the Sorcerer is hired as a professional performer, not as a child care provider, or babysitter. As such, clients must monitor and take responsibility for any disruptive child’s behavior. Clients also should not leave Andar alone with dozens of children by himself. He should not be expected to perform the magic show and also monitor children. That situation can be overwhelming. Please provide at least 2 adults to stay with the magic show audience as child care supervisors during the performance.
Traffic
Andar the Sorcerer does his best to make sure that he is on time for your event (early in most cases). In order to better serve you, he requests that you notify him of any unusual traffic situations in your area that may have a negative impact on Andar reaching your destination on time. Examples: Fleet Week, Parades, Stadium, Raceway Events, Amusement Park, Highway or road that may typically have a lot of traffic etc. Letting him know will help in ensuring Andar is at your event on time. Traffic causing special events such as those stated above may result in tardiness.
Payment and Gratuity

Andar the Sorcerer can work at multiple parties and events in the same day. It is therefore important on the day of his magic show to have his payment ready to give him immediately following his performance, before he leaves the event. If you made a Deposit, payment for the remaining Balance will be due. If you did not make a Deposit, payment for the total booking fee will be due in full (unless you already paid in full earlier).
Gratuity is not included in the final bill and is not required, but is certainly appreciated if you choose to let Andar know how much you enjoyed the performance.
Outdoor and Park Events
When possible, Andar must be under shade and hydrated for all outdoor parties where the temperature is hot. Andar must be kept out of any muddy, thorny areas and away from wet spots. A clean, sturdy ground surface must be provided for all outdoor parties. Andar requests a client assist Andar at his vehicle by having someone carry in and carry out the magic show equipment items.
Weather
Andar does not perform magic outside while it is raining, on days when the temperature exceeds 100 degrees F, or in areas where the ground or grass is wet. Andar is often wearing heavy, layered costumes. To prevent heat-related illness, please make sure that there is plenty of cool shade and iced water available for Andar at your outdoor event.
Cancellation Policy
Once Andar receives a deposit, he will reserve the client's desired time and date on his booking schedule. To cancel a booked service, please call Andar at least 7 days before the party or event date. This gives Andar a chance to make that event time and date available to rebook another party/event.

Regardless of when a client's booking was placed, if for any reason that client cancels their reservation, their deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE and they forfeit the use of the deposit money.
If a client is not cancelling a service, but needs to move the event to a different date or time, please see "Rescheduling Changes to Reservation" below.
Magician Cancellation
Client Worry-Free Guarantee
Upon booking your event with Andar the Sorcerer, he will do his best to guarantee arrival at your event and perform as agreed. However, booking is subject to change as illnesses, personal situations, or emergencies can arise. (Obviously, if Andar gets sick you wouldn't want him to be contagious around your guests anyway.) If Andar is not able to make it and has to cancel a show, he will contact the client to give as much notice as possible (depending on the situation). Andar may also offer you a Rain Check to re-schedule the magic show for a future date (replacement).
If a client made a deposit and Andar cancelled his service, ALL of that customer's deposit money will be fully refunded. If a client paid the entire booking fee up front in total and Andar cancelled his service, ALL of that customer's booking fee money will be fully refunded.

In order to receive a refund, the client should confirm Andar's show cancellation. The client will be given a summary of the payment(s) to be refunded. Andar will issue the refund to the same credit card or debit card that was used for payment, using the same processing method as when he first accepted payment. This process could take 1-2 business days. Once the refund is issued, it may take up to 3-5 business days to post to the client's account (depending on the client's card company or bank).
Rescheduling Changes to Reservation
If you need to change a reservation, please call (831) 295-4816 to notify Andar of the change. Requested changes should also be submitted in writing to andarthesorcerer@gmail.com. Changes will not be made until Andar responds back to you with acknowledgement.
Andar's bookable hours for rescheduling an event are:
Sat. 9am-12am and Sun. 9am-10pm.
Rescheduling time or date changes are subject to availability. Your first time/date change is free, however every time/date change after that may incur a $25 rescheduling fee
Transactions, Debit Cards, Credit Cards and Apps
Due to electronic devices, transmissions and bank processing times, we cannot guarantee that all deposits will be processed immediately. It is therefore the client’s responsibility to make sure that the funds are available, especially when using a check or debit card.
Covid-19 Precautions
I am available and taking precautions to ensure the health and safety of my clients and the people in my audiences. In person, I can wear masks, gloves, sanitize props and practice social distancing when requested. If possible, I prefer to perform maskless, or with a transparent face shield so people can read my lips and see my facial expressions. I can also perform online remote video magic shows through Zoom, or other video streaming.
Travel Mileage
If the distance to a client's event is farther than 50 miles from Andar's home in Santa Cruz, Ca. , the travel expenses are an additional .65¢ per mile from my home in Santa Cruz, Ca. to your event's location.
Guest Count
Upon booking, the number of guests should be communicated between the client and Andar the Sorcerer. It is the responsibility of the client to give Andar an accurate number of people, plus the number of guests invited and to notify Andar if the total number changes. It is important for Andar to know the size of the audience to be able to determine how many magic tricks, props, illusions, tables and sound system to pack and bring with him.
Parking Fees and Bridge Tolls
Customers are responsible for reimbursing any parking fees and/or bridge toll fees incurred, due to the location of their event. Please add the reimbursement to the money owed to Andar at the end of his performance.
Privacy Policy and Personal Information
Andar the Sorcerer holds the privacy of your personal information in the highest regard. The following discloses his information gathering and dissemination practices.
Andar recognizes the importance of protecting your privacy and his policy is designed to assist you in understanding how he collects, uses and safeguards the personal information you provide to him and to assist you in making informed decisions. This policy will be assessed against new technologies, business practices and his customers’ needs.
When you register for any of Andar the Sorcerer's services or newsletters you are choosing to provide information about yourself.
If you choose to use Andar the Sorcerer's services, you may need to give personal information and authorization to obtain information from various credit services. For example, you may need to provide the following information:

-Mailing address
-Email address
-Credit card number
-Name on credit card
-Credit card billing address
-Business and home phone number
If you choose to correspond with Andar through email, he may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and his responses. He provides the same protections for these electronic communications that he employs in the maintenance of information received by mail and telephone.

Andar does not generally share, sell, lend or lease any of the information that uniquely identifies a subscriber (such as email addresses or personal details) with anyone except to the extent it is necessary to process transactions or provide services that a client has requested.
